The supporters of Jamaica booed when E.C 2 Janeiro RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 minutes E.C 2 Janeiro RS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Finlay Stair who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Jamaica's Finlay Stair to fire away a dangerous shot which Carlinhos da Costa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to E.C 2 Janeiro RS getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Inácio Pinheiro hit a great ball. Haroldo Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Demonde Jacobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Valadares, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Sanches in the 28th minute of the match. Finlay Stair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlinhos da Costa having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Romon Oliver got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wayan Freeman kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Demonde Jacobson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Valadares's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romon Oliver during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th minute, Romon Oliver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Válter de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marco Valadares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Demonde Jacobson made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Paulo Pontes sent off a good shot on target. Demonde Jacobson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Sanches in the 66th minute of play forced Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demonde Jacobson was a little too slow when Haroldo Sanches got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 0-2. Carlinhos da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Finlay Stair in the 76th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Valadares got free with Demonde Jacobson in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Basílio Ortiz hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Jamaica's zone, Paulo Pontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Demonde Jacobson came out of the goal and Paulo Pontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romon Oliver scored 1-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlinhos da Costa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle sounded E.C 2 Janeiro RS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Jamaica.
