Edmond Verdun was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edmond Verdun saved Errecaborda AFC from getting behind. Edmond Verdun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 40th minute of play. Edmond Verdun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 41st minute of the match. Pastor Ado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute Errecaborda AFC were awarded a corner. Clemente Silviano went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Errecaborda AFC's Prospero Jerardo to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmond Verdun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmond Verdun having to interfere. Mauro Rameriz's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peru's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
