Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Neco Arslanoğlu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Neco Arslanoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe SK's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Neco Arslanoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neco Arslanoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Fenerbahçe SK's Neco Arslanoğlu managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 26thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fenerbahçe SK's Neco Arslanoğlu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Neco Arslanoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of the match. Fenerbahçe SK's Neco Arslanoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play. Kamil İlican received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kamil İlican, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neco Arslanoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Neco Arslanoğlu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aybars Direm, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 60 minutes into the game, one of Ecuador:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agustín Saelices struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Neco Arslanoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Fenerbahçe SK's Izidor Nikolić was substituted for Elpidio Cordareo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 78th minute of play forced Fenerbahçe SK's goalkeeper Neco Arslanoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neco Arslanoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 79th minute of the match. Fenerbahçe SK's Neco Arslanoğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Fenerbahçe SK from getting a goal against them. Luis Andino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Neco Arslanoğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. 白岩誉 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
