Edmond Verdun guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Errecaborda AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Clemente Silviano in the 40th minute. 3-1 became the score in the 45th minute when Mariano Lacasa elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Errecaborda AFC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Rogelio Jakes hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmond Verdun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pastor Ado got free with Thiago Pliego in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rogelio Jakes helped the player get up and apologised. After 72 played minutes Errecaborda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Jakes. 75 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmond Verdun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmond Verdun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Errecaborda AFC booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Rameriz came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Joe Tate sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Chile had won after a very even match.
