The audience was convinced that Pastor Ado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. After 20 played minutes Errecaborda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Jakes. Abram Sarmiento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Rameriz in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute of the match Errecaborda AFC got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Clemente Silviano ran over to the corner to take the kick. Errecaborda AFC's Clemente Silviano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Manzanares in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Edmond Verdun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abram Sarmiento's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidro Gines, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Montenegro in the 40th minute. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. The Colombia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Errecaborda AFC were winning 1-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pastor Ado made a kick off. In the 59th minute, Axel Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Edmond Verdun. Errecaborda AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 62nd minute of play forced Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Edmond Verdun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmond Verdun having to make a save. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmond Verdun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edmond Verdun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
