Davi Rodrigues's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Davi Rodrigues helped the player get up and apologised. Luís Gustavo Custódio in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Gustavo Custódio in the 24th minute. After 25 played minutes Luís Gustavo Custódio rounded Uruguay's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Excelência de Luxe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Laerte Carvalho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. Laerte Carvalho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. When Excelência de Luxe's Luís Gustavo Custódio in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. After 41 minutes Uruguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antônio Souza who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Excelência de Luxe's Antônio Souza to fire away a dangerous shot which Joaquin Gayoso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Luís Gustavo Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Gustavo Custódio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With splendid footwork Luís Gustavo Custódio arrived in front of goal to shoot 3-2 by the left pole in the game's 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

After having played for 53 minutes, Luís Gustavo Custódio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Excelência de Luxe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Gustavo Custódio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maximiliano Escribano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Vítor Mandrak when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laerte Carvalho in the 60th minute of play. When Luís Gustavo Custódio came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Excelência de Luxe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Gustavo Custódio couldn't finish the play. Emerson Prestes struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Excelência de Luxe. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Gustavo Custódio in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. After 76 played minutes Excelência de Luxe got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Moraes. Vítor Mandrak came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Francisco Seco. But to his dismay, Francisco Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Maximiliano Escribano hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Uruguay! The supporters of Excelência de Luxe booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Covarrubias didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Luís Gustavo Custódio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. Excelência de Luxe's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
