Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Luz Tejedor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Niebiański&Team's Rüştü Rencber did a great save. Rüştü Rencber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niebiański&Team's Rüştü Rencber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 17th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Rigoberto Sein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niebiański&Team's attentive Rigoberto Sein managed to snatch the ball when Alonso Berganza made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. Moises Gayoso made in the 25th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Luz Tejedor however managed to control. After 28 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Efraim Gilabert. Niebiański&Team's Antoni Tipinski got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rüştü Rencber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niebiański&Team's Rüştü Rencber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of play. Rüştü Rencber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half Peru were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antoni Tipinski was the one to do the kick off.
