Diniimanibelediyespor's Josef Lind got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. Xavier Figueroa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Melker Ödman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melker Ödman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Melker Ödman made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. After 31 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Casaus. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melker Ödman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Ove Persson in the 42nd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melker Ödman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chile were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after Diniimanibelediyespor's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Lacasa took the corner. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Lacasa to strike the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Diniimanibelediyespor got a freekick which was hit by Isak Bengtsson. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Gösta Billvall sent off a good shot on target. After 60 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Melker Ödman was left in no man's land by his defense there! 65 minutes into the match, Diniimanibelediyespor's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Melker Ödman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Chile's Gerardo Pozo got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 69th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melker Ödman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melker Ödman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melker Ödman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Melker Ödman. Melker Ödman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josef Lind in the 80th minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melker Ödman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa scored 5-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Melker Ödman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 90th minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melker Ödman was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. There was no doubt that Chile were the better team. Chile's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
