Neco Arslanoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 35th minute of the match. The corner ended in Elpidio Cordareo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. 41 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 康伟锋. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kamil İlican, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kamil İlican in the 45th minute of play.

51 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Neco Arslanoğlu. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neco Arslanoğlu having to interfere. Camilo Gaos charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Gaos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Fenerbahçe SK made a substitution. Izidor Nikolić replaced Elpidio Cordareo. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Neco Arslanoğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Neco Arslanoğlu quite easily take care of the ball. When Aybars Direm came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Fenerbahçe SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aybars Direm couldn't finish the play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After 85 minutes of play, Fenerbahçe SK's Izidor Nikolić made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 92nd minute, 康伟锋 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fenerbahçe SK fully deserved thier win.
