In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind CheR FC's goalkeeper Aprígio Montenegro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Eliseo Mina made a precise shot to the right of Aprígio Montenegro. CheR FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Victor Clifford who after having made a long run got a chance for a shot on goal. Despite a couple of nice moves Rolando Noboa's wasn't to be fooled and made an easy save when Victor Clifford was beeing forced to shoot. The excitement rose when CheR FC's Victor Clifford after 44 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Peru's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-3. After the first half Peru were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcos Lluis to strike the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Emmanuel Reyes in the 51st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by CheR FC's Quentin Brookman. The audience was convinced that Marcos Lluis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. It was a well-played corner which Rafael Gallo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. When the match was over Peru could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CheR FC throughout the match.
