Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. With a little luck, Green Hell F.C.'s Edvin van der Sar got control of the ball when Cassius Byrne tried to sneak it across the goal line. Grigoris Grigoriadis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Christian Vieri made a precise shot to the right of Marco Day. USA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Christian Vieri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 34th minute, USA's Cassius Byrne dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Edvin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 41st minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Vieri to make the kick off. Edvin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Liu Han Kang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. Edvin van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khalid Parry in the 85th minute of play. Edvin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khalid Parry, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Green Hell F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jenson Smith was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. USA's Jenson Smith was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edvin van der Sar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Green Hell F.C.'s Edvin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sam Campbell in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Liu Han Kang was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Green Hell F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave USA the free kick. The supporters of USA booed when Green Hell F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liu Han Kang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite being the better team, USA failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
