In the 4th minute, Venezuela's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sidónio Leme fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jonathan Ferrant had great luck who in the 9thth minute grab hold of the ball when Valentim Silveira from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Horácio Quintas sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivar Björling saved AL-Bombarralense B from getting behind. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Valentim Silveira scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 2-0. Ivar Björling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 42nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loid Verduyckt got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valentim Silveira to strike the kick off in the second half. Patrick Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivar Björling came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivar Björling was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. 72 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Sidónio Leme came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Guillermo Mariano fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Guillermo Mariano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Ivar Björling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 83rd minute of play. If Sidónio Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute.
