The Luisana EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Claudinei Baiano struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luisana EC. In the 8th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. Gonçalo Ferreira scored 0-2 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Claudinei Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 21stth minute of the game Claudinei Baiano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 25 played minutes Luisana EC got a freekick which was hit by Oséias Rezende. Claudinei Baiano took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After a rather tough play, Luisana EC's Mané Bastos got a free kick in the 31st minute. Axel Tasis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Natã da Cunha made a huge save. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Natã da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cido do Valle during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Luisana EC's Cido do Valle got a free kick in the 36th minute. With a little luck, Luisana EC's Natã da Cunha got control of the ball when Axel Tasis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Baiano in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei Baiano in the 45th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 46th minute. The Costa Rica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Luisana EC were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Claudinei Baiano made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Rubio during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Luisana EC the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Luizão Quintal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 0-6 in the 58 minute of play. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Claudinei Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luisana EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinei Baiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abel Carballo's late challenge caught a Luisana EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Claudinei Baiano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Claudinei Baiano sent off a good shot on target. Claudinei Baianos short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some careless play in the Luisana EC defense, Eliseo Noboa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Natã da Cunha. The Luisana EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Natã da Cunha should have stopped the shot. Luizão Quintal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Luizão Quintal slotted it home off the left post making it 1-9 in the 90th minute. Claudinei Baiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Gustavo Tavares hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Luisana EC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
