Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Lander in the 6th minute of play. Antarctica IF were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Erubiel Claus took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Erubiel Claus got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thiago Pliego quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ando Koppelmaa did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Thiago Pliego 14 minutes into the match. Flavio Balasi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 17th minute of play. When Chile's Mariano Lacasa in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Antarctica IF's goalie prevented a goal. 25 minutes into the match, Antarctica IF's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Flavio Balasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flavio Balasi having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 34th minute of play forced Antarctica IF's goalkeeper Flavio Balasi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Ando Koppelmaa came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Lander in the 43rd minute of the match. Erubiel Claus hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 50 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Lacasa. 51 minutes into the match, Ando Koppelmaa notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Chile's Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Casaus got free with Flavio Balasi in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Flavio Balasi managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Chile's Mariano Lacasa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mariano Lacasa came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Flavio Balasi could save by the left post. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ando Koppelmaa in the 62nd minute of play. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Flavio Balasi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ando Koppelmaa in the 71st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Antarctica IF defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flavio Balasi. The Antarctica IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flavio Balasi should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ando Koppelmaa in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ando Koppelmaa in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Maximino Lander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximino Lander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 85th minute of the match Chile got a corner. Antarctica IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Antarctica IF's goalie and right to Pedro Indiano. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Antarctica IF's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 87 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Balasi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 89th minute of play forced Antarctica IF's goalkeeper Flavio Balasi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Georg Hermansson hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Guillermo Fontirroig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Flavio Balasi made a huge save. Many of Chile's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Chile may have spent more time on the ball, but Antarctica IF were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
