The supporters of Colombia booed when Errecaborda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Silviano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 5 played minutes, Colombia's Axel Montenegro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edmond Verdun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Colombia reached it. In the 6th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Mastache to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joe Tate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 16 minutes Colombia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pastor Ado who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Errecaborda AFC's corner Isidro Gines fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Manzanares quite easily take care of the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pastor Ado. Pastor Ado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Pastor Ado sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Pascual Carballar got a free kick in the 27th minute. With an all-out effort, Errecaborda AFC's Pedro Manzanares threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joe Tate, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Edmond Verdun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 30th minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmond Verdun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Pastor Ado took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Ado in the 45th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Errecaborda AFC's Joe Tate. But to his dismay, Joe Tate quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Jerardo in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmond Verdun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Edmond Verdun managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Colombia's Axel Montenegro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Edmond Verdun made a huge save. Edmond Verdun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Montenegro in the 64th minute. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. Errecaborda AFC:s Edmond Verdun showed great skill when he stopped Kevin Mastache:s penalty. In the 85th minute Prospero Jerardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
