Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebiu Surdilă, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute, Maximiliano Escribano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebiu Surdilă came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute bullfinches were awarded a corner. Aron Costea went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led bullfinches's Aron Costea to fire away a dangerous shot which Joaquin Gayoso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remus Stanca during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 35 played minutes bullfinches got a freekick which was hit by Remus Stanca. In the 37th minute, Olimpiu Pantiș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Maximiliano Escribano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximiliano Escribano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nistor Sfetcu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costică Glăvan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francisco Seco in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nistor Sfetcu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, bullfinches's Nistor Sfetcu got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The wind increased when Liviu Zubaşcu made the kick off in the second half. Nistor Sfetcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 71st minute of play. In the 77th minute, Francisco Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nistor Sfetcu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Kevin Carballal got a free kick in the 81st minute. 82 minutes into the match, Liviu Zubaşcu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joaquin Gayoso, 2-3. The audience was convinced that Eusebiu Surdilă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 85th minute of the game.
