Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dário Veríssimo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's Bóas Bolas got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Dário Veríssimo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Dário Veríssimo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Frederico Salazar managed to get in a good position for a shot. ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Frederico Salazar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Dário Veríssimo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 38 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. A hard shot by Bóas Bolas from long distance, 39 minutes into the match, got Julio Vera's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jedrzej Bazan. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's Dário Veríssimo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of play. After 48 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's Bóas Bolas got a free kick in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Salazar in the 62nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frederico Salazar in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Salazar in the 75th minute of play. Spyros Kouklakis charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Spyros Kouklakis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 76 played minutes ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC got a freekick which was hit by Spyros Kouklakis. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Ecuador played a much better game than ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC and deserved their victory. The ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
