With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmond Verdun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 25 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edmond Verdun, 1-0. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joe Tate, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Edmond Verdun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Errecaborda AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. The corner led Peru's Eliseo Mina to a score. 2-0 in the 30th minute. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Ado in the 34th minute of play. Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 35th minute of play. When Errecaborda AFC's Prospero Jerardo, in the 45th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Errecaborda AFC. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edmond Verdun saved Errecaborda AFC from getting behind. In the 52nd minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Edmond Verdun. Errecaborda AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Edmond Verdun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pastor Ado got free with Rolando Noboa in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pastor Ado's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Edmond Verdun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Joe Tate came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Errecaborda AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
