AF GuiFiguer OUT!!'s José Maria Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Maria Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Ecuador booed when AF GuiFiguer OUT!! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesinha Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Maria Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play forced AF GuiFiguer OUT!!'s goalkeeper José Maria Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dadá Maravilha got free with Julio Vera in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 24 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 25 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Maria Loureiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. AF GuiFiguer OUT!!'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and José Maria Loureiro quite easily take care of the ball. Dorian Terra hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Maria Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 46 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cafu Bastos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Maria Loureiro came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 60th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Maria Loureiro came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute, Felix Montenegro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of José Maria Loureiro. The goal made the score 0-3. José Maria Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute, Dorian Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AF GuiFiguer OUT!!'s Jano Botelho was substituted for Dadá Maravilha. With a little luck, AF GuiFiguer OUT!!'s José Maria Loureiro got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, AF GuiFiguer OUT!!'s Dorian Terra got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute, Agustín Saelices made a precise shot to the right of José Maria Loureiro. AF GuiFiguer OUT!!'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After 91 minutes, Cesinha Ribeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AF GuiFiguer OUT!! and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 played minutes AF GuiFiguer OUT!! got a freekick which was hit by Cesinha Ribeiro. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when AF GuiFiguer OUT!! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorian Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball.
