Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosme Crescencio in the 34th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tautvydas Mickevičius saved ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting behind. If Camilo Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Gabon charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osvaldo Gabon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Osvaldo Gabon kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.
