Betão Marquez hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. The supporters of ATHLETICO PRaiano booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Pozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deilmison van Basten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 15th minute of play. In the 20th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute Denílson Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Gu Zhan Cheng hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 30th minute of play. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. Deilmison van Basten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. The supporters of Chile booed when ATHLETICO PRaiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitor Beckenbauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute of the match Mariano Lacasa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodriguinho Sousa skillfully saved the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Sousa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. ATHLETICO PRaiano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deilmison van Basten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 74th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Indiano to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Thiago Pliego came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ATHLETICO PRaiano reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Deilmison van Basten managed to get in a good position for a shot. ATHLETICO PRaiano's supporters rose to their feet, but Deilmison van Basten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Pliego breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodriguinho Sousa made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute ATHLETICO PRaiano were awarded a corner. Deilmison van Basten went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to ATHLETICO PRaiano's Erubiel Valery getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. ATHLETICO PRaiano were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Chile for a fine match.
