Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Panama booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Cordero didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Panama's Abraham Alguacil broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 17th minute of the match. If Elpidio Francis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elpidio Francis got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnaldo Gabon took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Elpidio Francis sent off a good shot on target. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Panama's Dylan Sarmiento got a free kick in the 27th minute. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 31st minute of the match. When Elpidio Francis came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elpidio Francis couldn't finish the play. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Francis in the 37th minute of play. Elpidio Francis might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Cotilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elpidio Francis ran back to his position shaking his head. After 43 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Jose Carita.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elpidio Francis was the one to do the kick off. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis. But to his dismay, Elpidio Francis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Gabon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Gabon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnaldo Gabon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús was substituted for Elpidio Francis. 64 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Cotilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The throw-in from Matthew Garrido in the 67th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Bonifacio Suarez. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aristides Asteri scored 4-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th match minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Iztal to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, André Monclús made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Panama players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA.
