The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tautvydas Mickevičius was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Axel Tasis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tautvydas Mickevičius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. The supporters of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
