Edvard Fagerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 7th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Commander Crowe's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Edvard Fagerberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Commander Crowe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phil Fode to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Milagros Fraga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luz Tejedor hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, Commander Crowe's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Edvard Fagerberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cyprian Sitko to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvard Fagerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Commander Crowe were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cyprian Sitko took the corner. In the 63rd minute, Luz Tejedor sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Commander Crowe's Edvard Fagerberg didn't even have to move. Commander Crowe's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Eliseo Mina managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Milagros Fraga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edvard Fagerberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Milagros Fraga slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 80th minute. Edvard Fagerberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 91st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Jimmie Käcker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Cyprian Sitko took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo.
