Petri Romuroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 75th minute of the game Bonifaco Corrillos made a throw-in which Yoel Magarinos played forward. Yoel Magarinos's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sabaneta FC's Yoel Magarinos got a free kick in the 79th minute. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rian Giggs in the 81st minute of play. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Milagros Fraga made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Sabaneta FC's Kevin Mier managed to reach the ball for a save. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Bonifaco Corrillos made a throw-in in the 90th minute of the game. When Petri Romuroso fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The audience was convinced that Rafael Gallo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kevin Mier was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. The Peru players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
