Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Didrik Faldal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the match, AC Østerlars's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Didrik Faldal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Earl Kjær fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xurxo Lagala in the 24th minute. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Liam Beard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. After 31 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Davide Campo who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Xurxo Lagala managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. AC Østerlars's Didrik Faldal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 41st minute of play. In the 46th match minute, AC Østerlars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davide Campo to maneuver through the defense. Didrik Faldal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liam Beard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 53 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Earl Kjær came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Didrik Faldal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, AC Østerlars's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. AC Østerlars's Didrik Faldal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Didrik Faldal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Earl Kjær, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Earl Kjær charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Earl Kjær the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th minute, Earl Kjær hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
