Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when San Martin de Tucumán's Niklas Ekeberg in the 12th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Jonathan Ferrant was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Venezuela through an amazing save. After 13 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nicasio Jaizki who took care of the corner kick. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leszek Henryk in the 34th minute of play. Patricio Costa scored 3-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Godofredo Maule, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leszek Henryk in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niklas Ekeberg in the 41st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shao Wei Wei got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leszek Henryk was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by San Martin de Tucumán's Shao Wei Wei. But to his dismay, Shao Wei Wei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Shao Wei Wei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shao Wei Wei in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After 62 minutes of play, San Martin de Tucumán's Pawel Sakowicz made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 64 minutes of play, San Martin de Tucumán's Leszek Henryk made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 67th minute Niklas Ekeberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aykut Sakman during the 70th minute. After having played for 81 minutes Salvador Gisbert managed to get himself in a good position for a goal as Venezuela's supporters held their thumbs. Salvador Gisbert was, after a quick turn, in perfect balance and slotted the ball in at the right post. The score was now 6-2. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Maule having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by San Martin de Tucumán's Leszek Henryk. But to his dismay, Leszek Henryk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The San Martin de Tucumán fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
