Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Berganza started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Panama's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Esteban Iztal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 26th minute of the match. In the 28th minute André Monclús shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Monclús, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Elpidio Francis kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elpidio Francis got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafael Dalmu kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When Alex Cambeiro fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Alex Cambeiro a yellow card for diving instead. Esteban Iztal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Panama's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Elpidio Francis scored to the left of an out of position Marcos Cotilla, making the score, 0-5. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. After 78 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Gabon. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, André Monclús took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Marcos Cotilla to make any attempt to save it. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elpidio Francis in the 86th minute. After 90 minutes, Bonifacio Suarez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Suarez. In the 96th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Panama.
