Tomas Illescas scored 1-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anselmo Dunixi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Gölle EAC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Lóránd Vörös hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gusztáv Bánhegyi in the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Grindeanu came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Anselmo Dunixi in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from László Tihanyi, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute.
