In the 13th minute Santiago Txilar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Forsyth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. George Forsyth made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Patricio Bartolome sent off a good shot on target. Patricio Bartolome who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of George Forsyth when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Patricio Bartolomes short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got George Forsyth to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 17 minutes of play, CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roman Shantala was left in no man's land by his defense there! Enrique Cassaretto might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roman Shantala. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enrique Cassaretto ran back to his position shaking his head. Roman Shantala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 21st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrique Cassaretto in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roman Shantala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. But to his dismay, Enrique Cassaretto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Patricio Bartolome succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 41st playminute. The supporters of CD Municipal booed when Alpachiri AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Almajan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enrique Cassaretto to make the kick off. With a little luck, Alpachiri AFC's Roman Shantala got control of the ball when Enrique Cassaretto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alpachiri AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Oalo Dean 83 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-5. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cido Araújo during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Alpachiri AFC's Cido Araújo got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 93rd minute of the match Iacob Roman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roman Shantala skillfully saved the ball. The CD Municipal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CD Municipal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
