FC Drik's Denis Schubring got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Calvin Townsley might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roman Shantala. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Calvin Townsley ran back to his position shaking his head. Roman Shantala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calvin Townsley in the 16th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patricio Bartolome got free with Ted Kobbeltvedt in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ted Kobbeltvedt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Calvin Townsley to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes FC Drik got a freekick which was hit by Franck Fjølner. After some careless play in the FC Drik defense, Patricio Bartolome kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ted Kobbeltvedt. The FC Drik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ted Kobbeltvedt should have stopped the shot. Ted Kobbeltvedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Txilar in the 60th minute of play. Santiago Txilar scored 3-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ted Kobbeltvedt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
