An unexpectedly hard shot by Torrey Molloy in the 5th minute of play forced Amboy FC's goalkeeper Ariel Mourelatos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Amboy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Codruț Domuță came free, but Ariel Mourelatos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ariel Mourelatos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Rozarius in the 10th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ragıp İkinci during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ragıp İkinci kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Jean-Marie Pfaff stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Jean-Marie Pfaff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán in the 16th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jean-Marie Pfaff was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Brujas KV's Jean-Marie Pfaff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Codruț Domuță reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ariel Mourelatos. The goal made the score 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, Brujas KV's goal looked a bit too open when Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán came free, but Jean-Marie Pfaff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacinto Naelio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jean-Marie Pfaff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 37 minutes of play, Amboy FC's Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jean-Marie Pfaff was left in no man's land by his defense there! Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jean-Marie Pfaff read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Jean-Marie Pfaff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Naelio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brujas KV's Jean-Marie Pfaff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Alberto Abascal in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán in the 44th minute of play forced Brujas KV's goalkeeper Jean-Marie Pfaff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicanor Mendiko kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

Brujas KV's Jan Ceulemans was substituted for Bernardino Blai. Brujas KV's Ilkay Gündoğan was substituted for Martin Mundo. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torrey Molloy to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Amboy FC's Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. In the last second Jean-Marie Pfaff throw himself and got hold of the ball when Jacinto Naelio in the 59thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 61st minute of the match Amboy FC got a corner. Brujas KV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wang Hai ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán got free with Jean-Marie Pfaff in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacinto Naelio struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Jean-Marie Pfaff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amboy FC. Brujas KV made a substitution. Conrado Romero replaced Torrey Molloy. In the 71st match minute, Amboy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Mendiko to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Romero in the 72nd minute of play forced Amboy FC's goalkeeper Ariel Mourelatos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74thth minute of the game Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brujas KV's Jean-Marie Pfaff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brujas KV's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán scored to the left of an out of position Jean-Marie Pfaff, making the score, 1-6. Ariel Mourelatos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codruț Domuță in the 84th minute of play. Domingo Gutxi made in the 89th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Conrado Romero however managed to control. Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Jean-Marie Pfaff made a huge save. Domingo Gutxi kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Jacinto Naelio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amboy FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
