Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rolando Alley got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Alley in the 9th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zarando Calva. Zarando Calva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Nazmija Stojković came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Sotil, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nazmija Stojković in the 29th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes Atlético de Caracas got a freekick which was hit by Ákos Sándor. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Wassenius in the 33rd minute of play. Rolando Alley hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Wassenius in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. Atlético de Caracas's Zarando Calva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Macos Graciani heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Atlético de Caracas's Zarando Calva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 60th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aires Laguno in the 64th minute of play. After some careless play in the Atlético de Caracas defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zarando Calva. The Atlético de Caracas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zarando Calva should have stopped the shot. 80 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zarando Calva. Atlético de Caracas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Atlético de Caracas's Nuno Santarém was substituted for Rolando Alley. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético de Caracas's Tom Wassenius. But to his dismay, Tom Wassenius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 96th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zarando Calva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Nuno Santarém sent off a good shot on target. Mexico's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
