Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Elias Firmin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Elias Firmin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio-Paul Caniggia in the 27th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valentin Valentine in the 32nd minute. Valentin Valentine could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lionel Ronaldo got free with Julio Vera in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valentin Valentine in the 40th minute. After 41 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cesar Belo who took care of the corner kick. Claudio-Paul Caniggia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Felix Montenegro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Elias Firmin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 62 minute of play. Elias Firmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 66th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. 70 minutes into the match, Galmock FC's goalkeeper Elias Firmin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Firmin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primitivo Ferman in the 81st minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lionel Ronaldo couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Galmock FC's Claudio-Paul Caniggia got a free kick in the 95th minute.
