In the 68th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Matheu City FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Celedonio Eguen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celedonio Eguen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Matheu City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Celedonio Eguen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 minutes, Julian Murillo made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Matheu City FC's Celedonio Eguen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Matheu City FC's zone, Rafael Gallo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celedonio Eguen came out of the goal and Rafael Gallo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Peru had won after a very even match.
