Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giro Campomanes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. A collision led to GHOSTFACES ON FUTBOL getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Wincent Furgat hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, GHOSTFACES ON FUTBOL's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Yanko Pirov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yanko Pirov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute Giro Campomanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 40 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yanko Pirov. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Giro Campomanes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wincent Furgat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 81st minute, GHOSTFACES ON FUTBOL's Gaizka Jaraba seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gaizka Jaraba the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of GHOSTFACES ON FUTBOL protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gaizka Jaraba had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of GHOSTFACES ON FUTBOL booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The GHOSTFACES ON FUTBOL fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
