Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ariel Ponc was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the 5th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 12th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Villa Mitre City's Arsenio Maria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Mitre City's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ariel Ponc came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Villa Mitre City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Lehior didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saturnino Lehior received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute Feliciano Fernendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute of the match Villa Mitre City got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Urbano Mendiko ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 29th minute, Arsenio Maria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Villa Mitre City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Primitivo Andino made in the 53rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Felix Montenegro. In the 55th minute, Mauricio Macías made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Ariel Ponc threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Andino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 59th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villa Mitre City's Ariel Ponc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre City's goalkeeper Ariel Ponc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Ariel Ponc to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Fernendo, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 76 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Villa Mitre City's Feliciano Fernendo fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 80 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Ariel Ponc was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 86 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre City's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ariel Ponc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Andino in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ariel Ponc saved Villa Mitre City from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 94th minute of play forced Villa Mitre City's goalkeeper Ariel Ponc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 96th match minute, Villa Mitre City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Imam Sarwono to maneuver through the defense. The Villa Mitre City players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
