Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Gines came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Clemente Silviano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Ado in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmond Verdun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Edmond Verdun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Errecaborda AFC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Ado in the 52nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pastor Ado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Ado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pastor Ado. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Rameriz in the 72nd minute of the match. When Pastor Ado came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Errecaborda AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pastor Ado couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. 78 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidro Gines. Mauro Rameriz was shown his second yellow card after 79 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 83 minutes into the match, Errecaborda AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Edmond Verdun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Edmond Verdun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Prospero Jerardo hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Errecaborda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prospero Jerardo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
