Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Axel Tasis made the kick off and thus started the match. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Aris Salonicco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrico Cera didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 4 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Alcocer during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Adriano Michelini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Adriano Michelini took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. 15 minutes into the game, Adriano Michelini cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Michelini in the 18th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adriano Michelini in the 21st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Bernardo De Sisti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aris Salonicco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo De Sisti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Lombardi came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Adriano Michelini dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 3-0. In the 32nd match minute, Aris Salonicco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermanno Baresi to maneuver through the defense. After 34 minutes, Adriano Michelini made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Axel Tasis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Aris Salonicco FC fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Aris Salonicco FC's Franco Lombardi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adriano Michelini to make the kick off. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Comunardo Brunelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Aris Salonicco FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Comunardo Brunelli in the 55th minute. It was a well-played corner which Bernardo De Sisti managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adriano Michelini went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Aris Salonicco FC's Franco Lombardi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Costa Rica. Aris Salonicco FC's Felice Di Ruscio was substituted for Franco Lombardi. Biagio Polo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 64th minute of the match. Giampaolo Pazzini scored 7-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 68 minutes into the game, Enrico Cera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aris Salonicco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. In the 68th minute, Enrico Cera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felice Di Ruscio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felice Di Ruscio in the 73rd minute of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giampaolo Pazzini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Giampaolo Pazzini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Giampaolo Pazzini came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giampaolo Pazzini scored 8-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giampaolo Pazzini in the 82nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giampaolo Pazzini in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giampaolo Pazzini in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Giampaolo Pazzini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. If Bernardo De Sisti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Aris Salonicco FC were the better team. Aris Salonicco FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
