A very good chance. 15 minutes into the game, Luis Andino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Andres Salan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Andres Salan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. !Pabellon Ourense C.F.'s Andres Salan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 41st minute of play. After 46 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nesor Millán who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, !Pabellon Ourense C.F.'s Ginés Figueres got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off.
