Peyo Menendez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 15th minute, Vratislav Šmejkal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stasio Kajder in the 17th minute of play. In the last second Dante Lacasa throw himself and got hold of the ball when Stasio Kajder in the 17thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Peyo Menendez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Macos Graciani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inter Porteño's Yao Ning Zhen took a good shot, in the 24th minute, which hit the crossbar above Dante Lacasa's head, and flew over the goal. Mexico's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Inter Porteño. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, 宋光威 dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 1-1. Peyo Menendez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Vratislav Šmejkal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Peyo Menendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 宋光威 to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Inter Porteño booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Rouco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter Porteño's 宋光威. But to his dismay, 宋光威 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 61 minutes into the match, Inter Porteño's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Peyo Menendez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stasio Kajder took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peyo Menendez having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Holthuis came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 85 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. Peyo Menendez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 89th minute. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Joel Gaona hit a great ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stasio Kajder in the 95th minute of the match.
