The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Correa during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Koller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Głodne Ghule's Marek Czech in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marek Czech was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Camilo Gaos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Venezuela protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Camilo Gaos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Głodne Ghule's Roger Blom was substituted for Juan Cristóbal Koffidis. In the 57th minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. If Marek Czech had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Jan Koller kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 74th minute Marek Czech shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anísio Domingues made in the 81st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Szymon Pilipiec immediately put the ball in play. After 83 minutes of play, Głodne Ghule's Marek Czech made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 86 played minutes Głodne Ghule got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Domingues. In the 90th match minute, Głodne Ghule was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogdan Rakovytsja to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Głodne Ghule's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. In the 96th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marek Czech scored 8-0 in the 98th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Głodne Ghule's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
