Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita made the kick off and thus started the match. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. General Velásquez's Henry Tucknott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 9th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Marciano Gibson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Henry Tucknott was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustav Tidéksson in the 15th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. General Velásquez's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anselmo Johans in the 17th minute. A nice corner shot did that Anselmo Johans got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Henry Tucknott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henry Tucknott was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Henry Tucknott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clemente Tuñon in the 41st minute. In the 46th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorge Vicente Squella to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Henry Tucknott however easily saved by the left post. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Gustav Tidéksson charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustav Tidéksson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gustav Tidéksson kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After 73 played minutes General Velásquez got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Tuñon. 76 minutes into the match, General Velásquez's goalkeeper Henry Tucknott had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. The supporters of Ecuador booed when General Velásquez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Vicente Squella didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henry Tucknott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 87th minute of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after General Velásquez's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. General Velásquez's Henry Tucknott proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save General Velásquez from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
