Joseph Svartengren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of the match. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alexei Karamazov showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 29 minute of play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 39th minute of play forced Hallstahammar IK's goalkeeper Joseph Svartengren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustín Saelices's late challenge caught a Hallstahammar IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agustín Saelices helped the player get up and apologised. After 44 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. In the 45th match minute, Hallstahammar IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Brady to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

After 52 played minutes Hallstahammar IK got a freekick which was hit by Erik Browall. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Joseph Svartengren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Svartengren having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Luciano Sidoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hallstahammar IK's Anders Esbjörnsson got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joseph Svartengren was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 3-1. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexei Karamazov, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Hallstahammar IK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Luis Andino made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Hallstahammar IK's Joseph Svartengren managed to reach the ball for a save. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Sidoro in the 82nd minute of play. Hallstahammar IK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alexei Karamazov in the 83rd minute. After taking down the ball on Hallstahammar IK's corner Daniel Brady fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Agustín Saelices might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joseph Svartengren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agustín Saelices ran back to his position shaking his head. Joseph Svartengren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 85th minute of play. Luciano Sidoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Svartengren having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Hallstahammar IK's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Joseph Svartengren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 played minutes Hallstahammar IK got a freekick which was hit by Karl Nordström.
