An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Gallin in the 10th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Aron Blom notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A nice corner shot did that Arne Back got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Mountainhammer United booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Secada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arne Back, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Roar Klev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Roar Klev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas pulled a muscle in his leg after 52 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Eric Gummeson charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eric Gummeson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Venezuela's Roberto Ocampo was substituted for Tomas Illescas. Eric Gummeson kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Roar Klev was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Camilo Gaos. Roar Klev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roberto Ocampo in the 59th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aron Blom in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Roberto Ocampo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aron Blom in the 70th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Back in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Mountainhammer United getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Henric Bållström hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Ocampo got free with Roar Klev in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Mountainhammer United's Arne Back in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roar Klev having to interfere. In the 93rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense.
