The supporters of Todos al Fondo booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonso Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yu Nan Li got free with Rolando Noboa in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orlando Rivera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Erez Gordo in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Maurito Boselli sent off a good shot on target.

Todos al Fondo made a substitution. Justino Gotzon replaced Yu Nan Li. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justino Gotzon in the 63rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Pascual Eliazar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Todos al Fondo's supporters rose to their feet, but Pascual Eliazar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 75 minutes into the match, Todos al Fondo's Justino Gotzon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Justino Gotzon struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Todos al Fondo. Orlando Rivera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orlando Rivera saved Todos al Fondo from getting behind. In the 85th minute Pascual Eliazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Todos al Fondo's Ivon Curiel to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Todos al Fondo's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Orlando Rivera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. In the 91st minute Peru were awarded a corner. Eliseo Mina went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Eliseo Mina fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Orlando Rivera quite easily take care of the ball. Peru's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
