Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Illescas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Róbson Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Róbson Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AF CERRADO's Antônio Carlos Bueno got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute Antônio Carlos Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by AF CERRADO's Marcos Paulista. But to his dismay, Marcos Paulista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Antônio Carlos Bueno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After 27 minutes of play, AF CERRADO's Antônio Carlos Bueno made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Antônio Carlos Bueno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 34th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Antônio Carlos Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Antônio Carlos Bueno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antônio Carlos Bueno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. A collision led to AF CERRADO getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Murilo Lucas hit a great ball. With a little luck, AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jaime Pombal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antônio Carlos Bueno was the one to do the kick off. Iuri Falcão made in the 54th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Róbson Bittencourt immediately put the ball in play. 57 minutes into the game, Camilo Gaos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AF CERRADO the free kick. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 63rd minute of play. AF CERRADO made a substitution. Thiago Damião replaced Marcos Paulista. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by AF CERRADO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murilo Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 77th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arlindo Guedes saved AF CERRADO from getting behind. Felix Smits charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Smits the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thiago Damião struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AF CERRADO. AF CERRADO played a much better game than Venezuela and deserved their victory. The Venezuela players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
