Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) 3 minutes into the game, Dan Black threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 4th minute of play forced La Pointe Courte's goalkeeper Jolan Galindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th match minute, La Pointe Courte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cidro Flores to maneuver through the defense. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Jolan Galindo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. The crowd rose to their feet as La Pointe Courte's Roch Felenak slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Noboa. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. After 19 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jolan Galindo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 25 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Josué Pagueguy who took care of the corner kick. Josué Pagueguy made a great header on La Pointe Courte's corner, it was just that Peru's Rolando Noboa managed to reach the ball for a save. Jolan Galindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Roch Felenak scored to the left of an out of position Rolando Noboa, making the score, 2-1. After 36 minutes La Pointe Courte's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Anthony Alvarado hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Julian Murillo scored 2-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jolan Galindo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 43 minutes, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Mina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, La Pointe Courte's Dan Black got a free kick in the 54th minute. Jolan Galindo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 55th minute. Dan Black made in the 58th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Roch Felenak. 61 minutes into the match, La Pointe Courte's goalkeeper Jolan Galindo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jolan Galindo saved La Pointe Courte from getting behind. When Roch Felenak came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the La Pointe Courte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roch Felenak couldn't finish the play. La Pointe Courte's Gilbert Thellier was substituted for Alain Girault. La Pointe Courte's Yves Leite was substituted for Roch Felenak. After 69 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Efraim Gilabert. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yves Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The audience was convinced that Yves Leite's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Alejo Alonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. After having played for 78 minutes, Yves Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Pointe Courte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yves Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luz Tejedor's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jolan Galindo firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 86th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Reyes to maneuver through the defense. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. The supporters of La Pointe Courte booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuel Reyes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jelle Ceustermans charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jelle Ceustermans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to La Pointe Courte getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Jelle Ceustermans hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Peru's Eliseo Mina tried to score from far away in the 94th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jolan Galindo was a little too slow when Rafael Gallo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 2-3. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than La Pointe Courte.
