With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Leonardo Penha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Leonardo Penha's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonardo Penha helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th minute, Leonardo Penha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Axel Tasis was slow to take the kick. During this time Costa Rica's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Puig in the 37th minute of play forced ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's goalkeeper Angelo Bertoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Gergori kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Efrain Moruga hit a great ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonardo Penha made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Leonardo Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Leonardo Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the game, ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Leonardo Penha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. After 68 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. In the 70th minute Luisito Jerano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Lütfullah Arıhan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aaron Alcocer charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aaron Alcocer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aaron Alcocer kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Daniel Olejarz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 78 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. Federico Vani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Penha in the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Leonardo Penha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. There was no doubt that ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ were the better team. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
