Kim Hänninen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 4th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Fragleses defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kim Hänninen. The Fragleses fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kim Hänninen should have stopped the shot. In the 8th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kim Hänninen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Mexico's Luca Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kim Hänninen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Zlatko Ibrahimović could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. In the 16th minute of the match Fragleses got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roch Dejo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Fragleses's Roch Dejo to fire away a dangerous shot which Dante Lacasa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Zlatko Ibrahimović could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kim Hänninen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. After 21 minutes Fragleses's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. In the 22nd minute, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Kim Hänninen was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 23rd minute of play forced Fragleses's goalkeeper Kim Hänninen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Fragleses's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Fragleses's goalie and right to Luca Zorita. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Fragleses's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kim Hänninen having to interfere. After 32 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kim Hänninen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kim Hänninen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 38th minute of play forced Fragleses's goalkeeper Kim Hänninen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fragleses's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. 43 minutes into the match, Fragleses's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Kim Hänninen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fragleses's attentive Haralampi Smrikarov managed to snatch the ball when Macos Graciani made a throw-in in the 46th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Fragleses's Kim Hänninen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Fragleses from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zlatko Ibrahimović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 54 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roch Dejo who took care of the corner kick. Wiktor Gomolka made a great header on Fragleses's corner, it was just that Mexico's Dante Lacasa managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 56th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Kim Hänninen however easily saved by the left post. In the 61st minute of the game Macos Graciani made a throw-in which Joel Gaona played forward. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kim Hänninen firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zlatko Ibrahimović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Alberto Tafalla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kim Hänninen. That made the score 0-3 after 73 minutes of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fragleses fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! Kim Hänninen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 85th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Kim Hänninen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alberto Tafalla was extremely unlucky when he, in the 93rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Mexico's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
